Teodor (Tidge) James Holmberg is Of Counsel to THE FARRELL LAW FIRM, P.C.

Mr. Holmberg is a registered Patent Attorney with nineteen years of experience in both patent prosecution and patent litigation (including, inter alia, formulating litigation strategies, writing briefs, and arguing in court).

Mr. Holmberg received his law degree from Boston University School of Law, a Master’s in Engineering degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering from Boston University College of Engineering, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature/Philosophy and History of Mathematics and Science from St. John’s College in Annapolis, Md.

Besides his registration with United States Patent & Trademark Office as a Patent Attorney, Mr. Holmberg is admitted to the bars of New York and Massachusetts and a number of federal courts, including the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, the four U.S. District Courts of New York, the U.S. District Court of Massachusetts, and the Eastern District Court of Texas, as well as other U.S. District Courts.

Mr. Holmberg has written and prosecuted patent applications and/or engaged in all aspects of patent litigation in technologies such as telecommunication (including signal transmission, reception, and processing approaches and components therefor, implementation and modifications of communication protocols, coding approaches and components therefor, device body/housing design and manufacturing, antenna design and manufacturing, and communication component design and manufacturing); semiconductor and transistor manufacturing and design; optical lens manufacturing and design; electronic component manufacturing and design; design and manufacture of electric motors for automobiles; design of medical research imaging equipment; design and manufacture of digital image processing components and equipment; the design of heavy trucks and equipment; and the design, functioning, and implementation of Graphic User Interfaces (GUIs).

Mr. Holmberg’s memberships include the Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineering (IEEE), with individual memberships in the IEEE Communications Society, the IEEE Computer Society, and the IEEE Standards Association; the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF); the American Chemical Society (ACS); the Federal Circuit Historical Society; and the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court Historical Society.
